Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity
A notable gathering in Madrid brought together community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to reflect on the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, hosted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, focused on dialogue, tolerance and mutual understanding. The round table included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers offered personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how open dialogue can help build more inclusive communities.
Throughout the gathering, participants explored themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Madrid Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
